Triptico — Signing in with Microsoft

How it works

On the Triptico sign-in screen, press Continue with Microsoft.

A Microsoft window opens. Sign in there, with your school or personal Microsoft account.

That's it. There is no verification email to find.

Triptico only receives your name and email address.

It cannot see your password, your emails or your files.

Seeing a 'Need admin approval' message?

Nothing is wrong. Some schools check new websites before staff can sign in to them with a school Microsoft account.

Your IT team just needs to approve Triptico once, for the whole school.

Send them this:

Hi,

I would like to use Triptico (triptico.app), a classroom teaching tool, with my school Microsoft account. When I try to sign in, Microsoft says it needs admin approval.

Please could you approve it? It only requests basic sign-in — my name and email address. It has no access to email, files, calendars or contacts.

Already have a Triptico account?

You can add Microsoft sign-in to your existing account. Same account, same files.

Sign in with your password, as usual.
Open Menu > Settings > Sign-In.
Press Connect next to Microsoft.

From then on, the Microsoft button signs you straight in.

About this app

Triptico is a classroom teaching tool used by teachers to create interactive activities, resources and lessons. Microsoft sign-in is delegated to your Entra ID tenant: your Conditional Access and MFA policies apply unchanged, and Triptico holds no passwords for these accounts.

Permissions requested	Standard sign-in only (`openid`, `profile`, `email`) — the user's name and email address. No application permissions. No Microsoft Graph data beyond the basic profile.

Triptico is a verified publisher with Microsoft — the consent screen shows Triptico Limited with Microsoft's blue “verified” badge. If you see an “unverified” label, you are probably looking at an old cached consent screen: the client ID and publisher domain above are the reliable way to confirm the app.

To approve for your organisation

Open the Microsoft Entra admin centre → Identity → Applications → Enterprise applications.
Find Triptico (it appears in the list once a member of staff has attempted to sign in, or once consent has been granted via the link below — it cannot be added manually). Check the client ID above to confirm it is the right app.
Open it → Security → Permissions → press Grant admin consent for your organisation.

Alternatively, a Global Administrator can grant tenant-wide consent directly by visiting https://login.microsoftonline.com/YOUR-TENANT/adminconsent?client_id=86d6b368-bb8d-4705-83aa-3f50a4af9e06&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Ftriptico.app%2Fmicrosoft-signin — replacing YOUR-TENANT with your tenant domain or tenant ID. After you approve, Microsoft returns you to this page with a confirmation.

Used an older version of that link and hit a “missing initial state” error afterwards? That page was our sign-in handler, confused at being visited outside a normal staff sign-in — it appears after Microsoft records the approval, so your consent was still granted. Triptico will now be listed under Enterprise applications, and staff sign-in should work.
